SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our policy at Just Trees is to donate 1 in 5 trees we sell. We support various projects and are open to requests from legitimate charitable or needy organizations in need of trees. Our flagship environmental project is the Clanwilliam Cedar Restoration Project. Since 2009 we have been propagating and growing Clanwilliam Cedars for CapeNature and planting out into the Cederberg Mountains. Read more.

Our social responsibility project is the establishment of a “Path out of Poverty or POP” crèche and afterschool facility here on the nursery with the help of the Goedgedacht Trust. The facility caters for about 100 children from our farm as well as the farms in the area. Babies and children now have a safe and fun place to spend time, do homework and play after school and during school holidays.
